Early Morning Insanity

Monday's workout: Insanity Plyo Cardio Circuit
Tuesday's workout (so far): Insanity Cardio Power and Resistance

For the past 2 mornings I have set my alarm for 4:50 a.m. to meet my friend Autumn at our gym at work in the group fitness room to do Insanity. 

Setting an alarm for a time that starts with a 4 might be the definition of insanity.
However, I love how I feel after getting a workout in so early. Especially such a nice intense workout. 
I like the ticker count down too. It's easy to see how much time is left and the time really does seem to fly by.

We are not following the plan exactly how it is meant to be done, but I am training for a marathon so I am pretty sure that a 16-22 mile run is sufficient enough to take the place of the Pure Cardio days. 

Let's just hope I can squeeze a run in tonight before I collapse out of exhaustion.


  1. You ARE insane! How do you manage on so little sleep? Oh yeah, I forgot, you don't need to sleep like mortal humans (see: summer 2000!). You never seize to impress me, dear friend. Miss ya!!!

  2. I need WAY more sleep than I did back then! However, I do think I have more energy when I work out in the morning. Miss you too!
