Thursday: 4 mile run outside, weights

Thank goodness it is Friday!

What a crazy busy week, but it was fun and I got to see a lot of friends!

Opening Day 2013

I also had my first bridal shower thrown by some amazing coworkers!

I feel very blessed and lucky.

Thursday evening I got a nice 4 mile run in outside - in beautiful weather - and also did weights!

I had some time to kill before meeting a few friends to plan another shower, so it worked out perfectly.

I ran alone and it was nice to have some peace and quiet since this week has been so busy.

I'm not gonna lie though, it felt HARD at times.

How does 8:20 feel ridiculously hard then all the sudden 7:30 feels so easy in the same run?

And no, I was not on a hill!

We spent time with family then took advantage of the sunny skies and warmer temps for a walk with the pups.

Today is another holiday here in Cincinnati:
Reds Opening Day!

My sister and I started a tradition 8 years ago of attending the Opening Day festivities together. It's always been a girls/sister day and it's always been a lot of fun.

Sometimes too much fun.

We've taken cabs, buses and driven ourselves.

Loved the crazy cab driver telling us stories from the 60s and 70s!

We've fallen asleep in our seats and contemplated napping in a movie theater before heading home.

We've played heads/tails and placed dollar bets for the people in front of us.

Always bet with other people's money!

It's rained, snowed and been 80 degrees.

We've made shirts, bought new ones the morning of, and planned outfits for a week.

We've run into old friends, met up with current ones, and made new ones.

One thing has been consistent: it's been a blast.

So, here it is, our 8th Opening Day together!
